It isn't just black teenagers in hoodies who get shot when everyone and his uncle has a gun (or a personal armory.) I'm so f'ing spitting mad right now on this subject that I'm just going to post the link to this story about the murder of a small town New Hampshire Police Chief and the wounds to four other officers in the line of duty.
I also, of course, want to "send" condolences to Chief Maloney's family and the families of the other officers who were shot in this incident.
UPDATE:
A suspect in Cicopee, MA was found dead of a gunshot wound after he had sprayed automatic weapon fire at a State Trooper, who was shot in the leg. You can read that developing story here at New England Cable News and I want to say get well soon and thank you for your service, Trooper Vasquez.
Below is an excellent clip from NECN regarding the incident that left Chief Maloney dead.

It's so tragic that these kind of incidences are in the news every week. The availability of firearms certainly contributes to it and the disregard for fellow human beings. Mama Joan
The whole thing totally sickens me! I'm watching Rachel Maddow as i type here, and she just did a segment on all the shootings and deaths around the US just in the last couple of weeks. Things are especially horrible in St. Louis, MO it appears. But there is more and more gun violence everywhere recently. But god forbid anyone try to enact measures to limit guns in some way. You can't take the righties' weapons away! Like taking the breast from a baby. The world is going crazy, and the insane are running the asylum. It drives me crazy. Shoot me now! (Figuratively, of course.)
This is a tragedy beyond words. The key is to continue to try for some type of gun control and not give up... otherwise they win and we will continue to loose.
